Crab and corn spicy rice porridge sprinkled with cabbage and spring onions

My wife and I are making conscious decision to move to healthy food, less sugar and avoiding the temptation of fast food. This means preparing and cooking own food.
One morning we decided to have a healthy dose of rice porridge. We have had enough of ‘lugaw’ and ‘arroz caldo’. So it was up to me to create a new version. Added to our usual rice porridge mixture are slices of corn kernel and crabstick. Then we added lot of ginger to give it a cool minty taste together with a healthy dose of cracked black pepper.
We garnish our bowl with thin slices of cabbage and spring onions. It goes without saying, we had a hot minty blast that morning.
