IACAT rescues 22 women and minors from human trafficking

QUEZON CITY, Feb 27 (PIA) — The Inter-Agency Council Against Trafficking (IACAT) led a rescue mission that saved 22 women including several minors bound for the Middle East during an operation against human trafficking Monday.
In a news release, Vice President Jejomay Binay also the Presidential Adviser on Overseas Filipino Workers’ (OFW) Concerns and concurrent Chairman Emeritus of the IACAT said two of those rescued were due to fly tomorrow from Manila to Cebu then onwards to Dubai where their final destination will be known.
The rescue mission was led by the Office of the Vice President, the National Bureau of Investigation’s Anti-Human Trafficking Division, the Department of Social Welfare and Development and non-government organizations Blas F. Ople Center and the Visayan Forum Foundation.
The NBI conducted surveillance operations on a bungalow located inside the Villanueva Village in Paranaque City following a tip received by the Ople Center from one of the job applicants.
Binay called on the public and local governments to work with IACAT to report suspicious activities to help ferret out the hiding places of the said syndicates.
The Vice President also warned the recruitment agencies not to take advantage of those desperate to gain employment abroad. (OVP/RJB/SDL/PIA-NCR)

TOKSYET

Sagot: “BLOGGER!”

Oo!

Ako: Hayop!

Hindi!

Ako: So bagay nga?

Uu sabi?

Ako: Ginagamit ng tao?

Oo!

The English Translation Version

by Jihad al Akbar:

Assalamualaykum wa rahmatullahi taala wa barakatuhu!

Foremost, I bestow my thankfulness to Allah for not forsaking me, my wife and my children. Allah made a lot of means and instruments- such as help coming from various communities and diverse nations and/or faiths- so that my family and I will not suffer so much difficulty.

Likewise, I extend my thanks to all the organizations who have been helping me all this time: Mindanao People’s Caucus (MPC); Balay Rehabilitation Center; Saligan; Task Force Detainees of the Phil. (TFDP); Consortium of BangsaMoro Civil Society (CBCS); Initiative for International Dialogue (IID); AKBAYAN Party List; Philippine Alliance of Human Rights Advocates (PAHRA); HRD-Pilipinas; Jihad al Akbar and PAHRA-WesMin; United Against Torture Coalition (UATC); Free Debt Coalition; Front Line (Protection of Human Rights Defender); Indonosia Legal Aid Foundation; Asian Human Rights Commission (AHRC) of Hong Kong; Bread for the World of Germany; Non Violence Peace Force (NP);Human Rights Watch International. I also include all those I may have not mentioned here.

My beloved citizens of Lupah Sug, I know how much you love and value me; I also know that you desire to aid me; however, there is a reason why you cannot manifest openly your support for me. It has come to my knowledge that many from among you lawyers, doctors, professors along with other CSOs have previously conferred last January 15, 2012. You met to strategize about certain ways and means to help me out from my predicament but unfortunately you were as soon stifled. Patience my brethren, let us exercise restraint; and Allah is witness, I do not wish that anyone from you will incur any mishap all because of me. Only there is one thing that saddens me though: if the professionals or highly educated ones -such as lawyers, doctors, professors and CSO groups- lose the “freedom to speak out” what they wish to express, then, what has befallen our homeland now? I believe that whatever oppression they will inflict upon the citizens of Lupah Sug, there still will sprout two to three people who will rise up in defense of the rights of the people so that our struggle will not end—this is our struggle to be emancipated from the confines of oppressive poverty and our striving to be liberated from the shackles of oppressive fear.

My brethren, do not despair that much if you have been thwarted in manifesting your support for me; even if it be merely in your heart, it is as much valuable and great help. Just recently someone visited me and told me, “Coy, if we are the ones in trouble, you have been able to help us, you fully defend our rights, however, when you were the one who’s hit, we cannot even help you. We are reduced to be just a mere onlooker and eavesdropper. Please bear with us, our young brother, we are incapable to buttress the sky.” I repeat fervently, there is no cause for you to be anxious because Allah has many ways from various zones so that my well-being will not be neglected. There are many people who are helping me here in Davao to Bukidnon, CDO, Iligan, Marawi, Cotabato, GenSan, Pagadian and even in Manila. Just last Saturday, some human rights org in Manila held a press conference regarding my case. Help are coming my way even from as far as Indonesia, Hongkong and Germany. All these are evidence of the Majestic Power of Allah.

I have not returned to Sulu for two years and 4 months now. I can say that this is the most difficult trial that I have undergone in my lifetime, until I am now detained in this cell for a month and two days now. Notwithstanding, this is the moment when I have contemplated well about my homeland. Inside this cell, we listen to news from the radio often. I often hear Pnoy administration’s radio program, “Matuwid na Daan.” I told myself the straight path that they are proclaiming here has not reached Sulu.

What transpired during the term of Gloria still persists today; I can even say that poverty has worsened, the foolishness of the “Elders” (elective officials) of Sulu has likewise worsened. Chaos has germinated in the hearts and minds in most of us. This is the consequence of the National government that tolerates our local officials; it even seems that they are in connivance with each other so that we will be trapped within oppression from time to time. Manila government has let our leaders and politicians rob us and indulge in corruption of our land so that we will straggle in poverty.

The poverty that has struck us is no petty matter. It has reached the point that even siblings will not help each other. The other one would think if he shares his own share, by tomorrow he will be left with nothing for himself. We even have lost our traditional values that once even what we are about to feed into our mouth we would rather give to our neighbor who has greater hunger than we have.

My brethren, our kinship ties have been severed by poverty, and so we have lost our solidarity (even in fact unity is demanded by our faith). We no longer have the time to think about our homeland, our thoughts are focused to our stomach.

Likewise, Manila government has not only tolerated corruption by those who govern us, it has also ignored their buying and hoarding of arms in order to sow terror among us; so they can do whatever they want according to their whims- this includes despoiling the daughters of the poor masses such as that of the “Gang Rape case in 2009.”

Why did the National Government ignore the foolishness of those who govern us? Perhaps the reason could be that we still shout out our dignity and rights as human beings to the whole world; because we are aware that “our substantive rights as human beings is the door that leads to the freedom of our nation.”

I ask you my brethren, do you think that in this kind of predicament that we are embroiled in, and most especially that our siblings in the hinterlands and islands are all in, too: do we have any other option apart from the need to unite? Well, we only have two options to choose from: “to just let it be” or “to unite then to reflect.” We must implant in our minds, that if we remain indifferent, the next breed of generation will blame us and we shall be our offsprings’ and grandchildren’s source of shame. They can never proclaim that their father or their grandfather struggled for the ancestral domain, for the nation, and most of all for our deen from Allaahu Taala. Let us not reason out that we failed to wage a struggle in defense just because we were armless, there is more powerful than arms, we do not need arms, all we need to do is to know and understand our human rights. Absolutely the government is prohibited from degrading us, making us feel that we do not have rights and dignity. My brethren, whatever decadence we can see thriving in our midst at the moment is a consequence of our apathy.

There is truth in the saying, “if a good person remains idle in his own inertness that is the moment that Satan shall reign.” My brethren, our homeland has become the laughingstock of all nations in the world.

Lastly, my being incarcerated shall NOT become a reason for me to stop from speaking the truth. Likewise, my imprisonment shall NOT become the reason that I will abandon what I have initiated in the span of 13 years striving to achieve the rights of my own people, my own homeland, and my own nation.

Wassalam!

Wakas.

Ranao Civil Society Leaders Face the Media

Special Report by Muhammad d Salahuddin

February 17, 2012-

A press conference with the theme: “TRUTH ABOUT LIES: LANAO PERSPECTIVE ON THE DESTRUCTION BROUGHT BY SENDONG” was successfully held at Brewberry Cafe ,Divisoria, Cagayan De Oro City. The event is in response to the allegation of  local government officials particularly Mayor  Vicente ‘Dongkoy’ Emano of Cagayan de Oro City and Mayor Lawrence Cruz of Iligan City, National Government and some members of the media that logging in Lanao is to be blamed for the destruction brought by Typhoon Sendong last September 16-17, 2011.

Typhoon Sendong  (international name ‘Washi’)  was the deadliest natural  disaster that hit the Philippines in 2011;  it affected about 30 thousand families and thousands perished  in that tragedy.

“Sendong was a tropical storm, a natural disaster. Whatever came its way would have been washed away, be they houses, cars or even trees.  How come it is being blamed on us?” asked Engr. Pipalawan O. Naga an environmental activist for more than 20 years based in Lanao del Sur.

Engr. Naga also belied the claim that the logs that killed many in some parts of Iligan City was stockpiled in Kapai, Lanao del Sur. “It may be true that the logs were cut illegally from Lanao, but it is possible and it is our claim that prior to December 16,2011 the logs were already stockpiled in Iligan City. We challenge anybody to present evidence that Lanao is to be blamed for  the destruction brought by Sendong.

An article published at Inquirer.netlastDecember 31,2011 said that the task force created by ARMM-OIC Mujiv Hataman reported that VicMar, a Makati based logging firm, had been stockpiling timber in its log pond in the Kapai-Bayug river (ILIGAN) junction before processing these in its sawmill in Barangay Hinaplanon in Iligan City, which is along the Mandulog River.

“So after the logs were stocked at the log pond, these logs will be naturally drifted away to Iligan City through the Mandulog River,” the task force said.

“Only VicMar has been in operation in the area since 1975,” the task force further said.

VicMar, the task force said, got a Timber License Agreement for 18,730 hectares of forests in Kapai and Tagoloan II on Nov. 27, 1975. It expired on June 30, 1997, but VicMar applied for an IFMA. The IFMA, issued on March 25, 1996, reduced VicMar’s area of operations to 6,795 hectares. and would expire on March 24, 2021.

Vicmar’s  known owner is Vicente L. Angliongto,  former president of  the Philippine Chamber of Commerce. It was learned that Vicente L. Angliongto accompanied the late former president Cory Aquino, mother of now President Noynoy Aquino, in her first visit to United States of America in 1987. “We have the suspicion that the owner of said firm holds a special relationship with the Aquino family and this may be the reason why until now no case had been filed against them,”  said Drieza A. Lininding of BMYM.

Mr. Lininding also chided Mayor Vicente Emano of Cagayan de Oro for blaming logging in Lanao for the destruction suffered by his city. ” We really don’t see the connection of Lanao to CdO (referring to the drainage map presented by Engr.PIP NAGA earlier in the conference)”.

The organizers of the said conference advised Mayor Emano to instead turn to Plantation, Mining and logging companies as the causes in the destruction brought by Sendong.

A relevant article published at www.agham.org last December 22,2011 said that Francis Morales of the environmental group Panalipdan Mindanao pointed out that the vulnerability of the area (Cagayan de oro) increased because of the land conversion of watershed areas to benefit pineapple and jathropa plantations. This has been supported by a 2009 study by the University of the Philippines National Institute of Geological Sciences of CDO’s susceptibility to floods. It revealed the increased vulnerability of downstream communities after the conversion of 2,000 hectares of the Upper Pulangi Watershed’s forest cover into a pineapple plantation owned by Del Monte Philippines, Inc.

I has to be noted that Martin Ignacio Lorenzo of Del Monte Phillippines donated P20 million during Noynoy Aquino’s  presidential campaign in 2010.

One of those who organized and was present in the press conference, Ms. Hamida G. Guro of Young Moro Professionals Network Inc. (Northern Mindanao), appealed to the media to help reveal the truth.

Since the Sendong tragedy happened, Lanao del Sur has been subjected to many operations by the Armed Forces of the Philippines. There were reported cases of human rights violations by soldiers like illegal search, confiscation, and harassment. Timber products including those already processed were considered illegal by the AFP particularly the 103rdBDE based in Lanao del Sur.  Some furniture shops and hardware stores had to close down for fear of being the subject of said operations. As a result, the people of Lanao del Sur need to go down to Iligan and Cagayan de Oro to buy those timber products needed for construction.

Mga Tanong mula kay Jhengpot.

3. Wagas experience mo about love?

4. Anong kulay ng puso mo ngayon, seryoso, bakit?

PULA… isang MATINGKAD NA PULA… Bagamat dumugo ng bonggang-bonga ang puso ko ng makipag hiwalay sa akin si “MOKONG a.k.a She Who Must Not Be Named” e nakarecover na ito, nakahanda na itong magmahal muli, naghihintay lang ito na makilala ang babaeng muling magpapatibok sa kanya, MATINGKAD NA PULA simisimbolo ng pagkasabik na kiligin muli, maging masaya muli, magmahal at higit sa lahat umibig muli.

6. Sinong karass mo, maliban sakin (lol)?

Wala siguro… ewan.. pwedeng Ikaw na lang (Jhengpot).. peksman.. ikaw na lang talaga.. kasi marami tayong pagkakapareho.. pareho tayong mahilig sa ART, nag-eenjoy ako tingnan ang guhit ng ibang tao, masaya na ako kahit na ang gagawin ko lang ay titingnan ang mga yun… may konting alam din ako sa Guitara, kaya kong tugtugin ang intro ng ilang paborito kong kanta,  neyehehehehe.. sabi mo gusto mo rin matutunan ang MAJIKA.. na siyang ehem.. weakness ko… you think I can be your good friend, I think you can be my good friend too, you think I am nice, I think you are nice too, you think I can be trusted, I think you can be trusted too, you think I am cute and I THINK YOU ARE RIGHT… nyehehehe…  yan ang dahilan kaya ikaw na lang ang karass ko…

Wait muna… eheheheh…I’ll try to write this in English because two of my good friends here in Blogsphere are Englesera (you know?)… hmmmp….

Music and Lyrics 005: Heaven Knows – Rick Price

A Valentines Entry

This is one of my favorite song ever written, I think I was 1st year high-school when it hits the radio stations, it is indeed one of the most meaningful song for me and it really mean a lot to me, I was having this last song syndrome (LSS) with this song, I been singing the chorus part of it for 3 days now, I don’t know why, I just love too.
I was 1st year High School when I met this girl, she is one of the most beautiful girls in our campus, and she was my classmates, a lot of guys turn on to her every time they saw her, I really like her eyes and her voice, we easily became friends, we had a good days, but just after sometime, she wasn’t able to attend our class, from days it turn to weeks, from weeks it turn to months, then just before we lose hope we heard that she’s in the hospital, she is sick, by that time, I am not yet allowed to go out alone, so I wasn’t able to visit her, it was a month or two after we heard about her conditions when we learned that she already passed away, I was depress, nobody knows that, I had a feelings for her but eventually never had the chance to tell her.
Many years had passed I met another girl again, a girl that would play one of the biggest role in my life, a girl who would occupied a big space in my heart, I was a collage-freshmen in a very known I.T School when I met her, we easily became friends, classmates and seatmates, I told her I like her, she told me she likes me too, we became lovers and partners in crime since then, we had a great relationship, until she met this one handsome man, she easily fall for this guy, after almost 9-10 years, from being friends to lovers she would tell me she’s dumping me, I cried out loud, I was in my most darkest hour, “My friends keep telling me, that if you really love her, you’ve gotta set her free and if she returns in time, I’ll know she’s mine”, “But tell me, where do I start, ‘Coz it’s breakin’ my heart, I don’t wanna let her go”.

What else could we do, if someone wanna say good bye to us, there is nothing we can do but to let them go, I admit I was scared and everything, frighten and traumatized, I don’t wanna feel that kind of pain again, it’s hard, its miserable, it’s the kind of feeling that you don’t wanna feel, I was praying and hoping that she would comeback, everyday’s and every night I waited for her wishing you would return, I longed for her kisses and hugs, I am slowly melting down, burning like a candle, bleeding inside and out, I felt so lost, all the melancholies and heartaches I suffered it all, I wanted to run and hide into my most comfortable zone and that is her arm, I wanna tell her I was scared, that every time I act so brave I’m shakin’ inside but I know she wouldn’t mind, she’s no longer mine, somebody owns her heart, she could never be mine and all I can do is hope & pray ‘Coz heaven knows.

And then I realized, I am falling back, all my dreams are fading, I had to do something before its too late, then I started to fix my self, I started to pick up the pieces, I build my life again, and Alhamdullillah (Praise to God) I am slowly learning to stand up again, I am slowly regaining the missing piece, I am learning to smile again, you see ladies and gentlemen, the secret of letting go is acceptance, the secret to happiness is contentment, jealousy usually comes after you compare, I had lived in despair, that I almost forgot how to smile and almost lose my faith in GOD ALLAH, but eventually GOD ALLAH has plan for me, he molded me into something I am not, he(ALLAH) brought me to life again, he(ALLAH) showed me the way, now here I am smiling at last…. Happy and contented, still single but ready to mingle… nyeheheheheh…. Happy Valentines Every-One…..

Here a song from Rick Price

Heaven Knows

She’s always on my mind,

From the time i wake up

’till I close my eyes

She’s everywhere i go

She’s all I know

Though she’s so far away

it’s just keeps getting stronger

every day

and even now she’s gone

I’m still holding on

so tell me where do Istart

’cause it’s breaking my heart

don’t wanna let her go

chorus:

Maybe my love will come back some day

Only heaven knows

and maybe our hearts will find their way

Only heaven knows

and all I can do is hope and pray

’cause heaven knows

My friends keep telling me

that if you really love her

You’ve gotta set her free

and if she returns in kind

I’ll know she’s mine

So tell me where do i start

’cause it’s breaking my heart

Don’t wanna let her go

chorus

Why I live in despair

’cause wide awake or dreaming

I know she’s never there

and all these time i act so brave

I’m shaking inside

why does it hurt me so…

chorus

Heaven knows

Shukran…..

The new look of Twitter

The Twitter has a new look, but I don’t think everybody has idea about this, because when I log-in to my twitter account yesterday and noticed the big changes going on, I immediately called Akoni and asked him if he as well see the new look of twitter, but to my dismay he said that he don’t and he is still has the old version of twitter, I am not sure if Twitter has updated or redesign their timeline, but all I know, this is the first time I saw this kind of profile.

There is a big change in Twitter’s new design, from the timeline that used to be on the left side, now it’s in the right side of the page, down to how you reply and how you check for your direct messages.

Bellow is the draft of the new features of Twitter.

Of course if you’re no longer new to Twitter this need no further explanations, this where you can find your way back to Twitter timeline.

In this section you can find your full interactions and mentions to any replys, retweets, follows and tweets that you made as well as the new features called “In replay to (insert name)”.

is where you can find who to follow, activities, find friends and categories, in here you will be prompted with variety of items that you will might be interested base on your current locations.

In this buttons, once you clicked it, it will allow you to go to your Direct Messages, List, Help, Settings and most of all allow you to log-out from Twitter.

This is a new Twitter Tab, this allows you to create new Tweet Message to your friends and love ones, update your status, you can also upload photos, add your location and link to videos, news and more.

Besides these new tabs, the new Twitter design will allow companies express their trademark in a better way; the company pages created here will feature larger header of images for photos and logos and even room for a tagline and any other additional images. Marketers can even promote tweets by putting one on the top of their page’s timeline. This tweet will appear large so that visitors to the page can instantly notice it.

This is Twitter Profile look like.

See the timeline it’s in the other side.

This is the @connect page where you can find your mention.

This is the Home section, where in you can start all over again.

So there you go, the new Twitter Looks.

Thank you.

Right now I’m walking in a road that I haven’t taken it before. The road that I don’t know how long I’ll be walking, how much time I’ll be spending and how much energy I have wasted if in the end I would only ended in a worthless outcome but at least I…

Discrimination against Muslims in the Philippines

I told somebody today that I miss teaching. With the unprecedented Media Bias against Ron Paul in the current US Republican primaries, I could show the students the Media Studies theories in action – like Agenda-Setting, Gate-keeping, Propaganda Model, etc. I doubt if there is any Filipino Communication / Media Studies teacher in the country […]

UNSTORY TOLD: COURAGE BEHIND THE BURNING OF JOLO

Neldy Jolo

All I know is my father story about war in Jolo in 1974. That was it until I heard from someone else and read something about it in an article. No book in particular that talk about this.

Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported in 16 February 1974 that there ten thousand dead as well as missing in fighting over ten days between the “Moslem Rebels” and Philippine government troops. It is also said that more than two-thirds of Jolo city was destroyed in the fighting that begun in 4th February.

The Palm Beach Post reported on 12 February 1974, thousands of refugees fled from burning Jolo town, where air force planes bombed and strafed as government troops battled “Moslem Secessionist”. One–quarter to one-third of Jolo town was burned.
Former Philippine President Fidel V. Ramos was Major General this during this time. This general as commander of the Philippine Constabulary later became friends of the MNLF leader, Prof. Nur Misuari, after they signed Final Peace Agreement in 1996. This friendship was built up after 22 years of becoming an enemy from 1974.

The rebels described as “Mawis” pidgin Moaists, follower of Mao Tse Tong communist doctrine of China. Through this doctrine that Prof. Nur Misuari was labelled as such for he was reported to be using the “red book”. He also studied the book of Fidel Castro as well as the book of socialism by Colonel Muammar Khadafi known as green book.

My father told me about the green book and the Fidel Castro book for guerrilla tactics that he also read. This is why I personally write about Prof. Nur Misuari as a tribute to his heroism and I called it the black book, entitled: Maas Nur Misuari.

The secret behind the war on the dates 4-7 February 1974 is to regain the independence of Mindanao and Sulu sultanates from the Republic of the Philippines by forming Bangsamoro Republik.

The principle is to defend the “bangsa, hula iban agama” which is people, country and faith – Fisabilillah, not of the accusation being thrown to Prof. Nur Misuari as he was communist-socialist and not Islamic.

The greatest thing to be remembered in this incident is the statement written in the wall of Notre Dame College. As this was written in the pages of history, scribed by Talib using his comrade’s blood: “in kami parang sabil nagbawbug sin hula’, bangsa iban agama (we took oath to defend our country, people and faith”.

Datu Habib Zakaria Abdullah praised the martyrs in this incident saying that, “the real heroes and shahid talk only very little, and even the little things they do still means so much to so many, Allah is the Greatest”

Dr.Benj Bangahan has this to say that:

“It’s my understanding that that wall writing was done by Ustaz Abdulyakin Mandangan, my second cousin from Bandang, Talipau. He was a member of the “manglalagut squad”, waysinapang, pakukus sadja in diyara. Manjari ku pariksaun magbalik ha manghud niya, hi Ustaz Muktadir Mandangan, yan ha tiyanggi naghuhula.”

“After talking to my coz Ustaz Muktadir Mandangan, the younger brother of Ustaz Abdulyakin, I think it is now likely that the blood was that of Abdulyakin, but written by Talib. They are both martyrs, and Allah blessed them.”

“I just talked to my coz Ustaz Muktadir in Jolo, the younger brother of Ustaz Abdulyakin Mandangan, whose blood is presumed to be the one used in the writing on the Notre Dame wall. He said that the accounts of those who returned pointed to the blood of Abdulyakin, and this seems to be a writing on the wall (no pun intended) because it’s a common knowledge among the rebels loop.”

“When Muktadir visited Cotabato sometime ago, where he met MILF’s Murad, he was asked if his family name Mandangan was related to the martyr Abdulyakin Mandangan, pointing to the wide recognition of his martyrdom. Muktadir, however, could not recall any Talib (the supposed writer) who had been part of the “manglalagut squad” or any squad, so we have to further search.”

“An encouraging note: there was a nest of an M60 at the side of Notre Dame manned by a soldier, which apparently was a big stymie to the onslaught of the MNLF. Abdulyakin, who had refused to carry a gun and relied only on his barung, volunteered to engage the soldier in order to paralyze the M60. The soldier was later found to be chopped to pieces.”

Ambu Noralyn Mustafa tells us the story when she was visiting the place where this statement was scribed:

“I saw this five days after it was written, in duguh pula pa. The blood smears told a story: The one who wrote it leaned on the wall as he went down the stairs, apparently wounded, because the blood seemed to be wiped on the wall trailing down on the stairs where he fell because there was a pool of blood there, and another huge pool on the landing. Obviously there were two bodies, Talib and Abdul. That was when I could no longer hold back my tears.”

“I have often wondered: how come Jolo celebrates March 18, the day of the Jabidah mutiny as “Freedom Day,” and yet there is no mention whatsoever of February 7, 1974 when hundreds of mujahideen were killed, some of them our best and brightest? Not even anything to memorialize them like a marker, or even offerings of dua-a”

“Remember how they died. Most did not have a decent burial. Out of respect for their memory I will no longer mention here how their bodies were disposed of. They do not even have graves that their families can visit. We don’t even have a roster of their names. They just disappeared from the face of the earth–unknown, unheralded, forgotten.”

I have responded this message above, if it is possible to inform the leaders to make a marker of honor and to make 7th February as holiday to remember the “Martyrs” in this Burning of Jolo.

It is also a need to remember the thousands of martyrs that were left then unburied in the in the streets of Jolo. It was also reported that many bodies were buried in a mass grave or were thrown into the sea. Others decomposed in the streets because of the sniper fire.  After this incident Philippine government claims victory, in reality they never win the war but only to burn the city living the cadavers abandoned to decomposed.

This burning of Jolo, until today still remembered as “pagsud sin tiyanggi” or “pagsunug sin tiyanggi.” In this also that the old Masjid Tulay was the only building remained standing, but sad to say it was forced to demolish to change into new one – the current Masjid Tulay.

Indeed this 7th February is a date that was poured with tears, sweat and blood to defend the freedom – after all we are not stopped to declare our freedom. In order to win and enjoy the complete freedom is to abandon the leverage of the enemies. To do it, deny their existence and give life to our own government.
Everything falls on Allah. This is not the untold story but unstory told remain to be fully written. Insha Allah, this is part in our heart to write next.
