SMB Oktoberfest 2015 launch with Rivermaya and Ebe Dancel

The post SMB Oktoberfest 2015 launch with Rivermaya and Ebe Dancel appeared first on Mindanaoan.com Multi Awarded Lifestyle Blog.

I was there! And boy, was the SMB Oktoberfest 2015 grand launch a really fun night – not only because of all the merrymaking, pop-up bars, beer shower, celebrities, seemingly bottomless beer everywhere and amazing Pinoy music acts but also because I was there with good friends Much thanks to Rivermaya, I had backstage access at the Mall of Asia Concert Grounds. I rode with the boys. Their call time was at 8 PM but because we all know how bad Friday night traffic in Manila can be, they fetched me at 3:30 PM. I initially groaned at the idea

My Laduree French macaron Makati visit

The post My Laduree French macaron Makati visit appeared first on Mindanaoan.com Multi Awarded Lifestyle Blog.

One of my longtime super favorite blogs to read is Chuvaness, run by Cecile Zamora van Straten. I’ve been reading it since its LiveJournal days and as much as I possibly can, I try to visit the restaurants or shops that she recommends. One of her recent entries was about the opening of the Manila branch of Laduree, that famous French luxury bakery that opened in 1862 and that’s best known for its delicious macarons. Let’s get this out of the way first – a macaron is a sweet meringue-based confection made with egg white. Commonly filled with ganache, buttercream

Churreria La Lola Rockwell Powerplant

The post Churreria La Lola Rockwell Powerplant appeared first on Mindanaoan.com Multi Awarded Lifestyle Blog.

So I finally had the chance to try the famous Churreria La Lola churros at Powerplant Mall, Rockwell. I’ve been eager to visit since a lot of my Instagram friends have been posting and raving about their giant churros. So of course the girl from Mindanao had to see what the fuss was all about! The long queue at La Lola Churreria really got me convinced that they’re serving delicious food here: The menu was simple and easy to understand. Although my mission that day was to try the Churros Clasicos (medium, 6 pieces, Php 110) plus the chocolate dip

Joining the Bandwagon: #AlDub craze

aldub, aldubfortnt, livemore, smart life

Recently, there’s a love team that hits the heart of Filipinos like storm, AlDub which is short for Alden and Yaya Dub. If you’re from the Philippines I’m sure you know what and who I’m talking about. Truth be told, I barely watch TV and I can’t say that I’m a huge fan of Kapuso. I don’t even know about AlDub, well not until my friend keeps on talking and goes gaga about them. I became curious which led me to youtube and watch their past episodes and I even stalk Maine and Alden on Instagram. So yeah, you know the result; I gave in and joined the bandwagon. I became a fan of AlDub!

3 REASONS WHY I’M IN LOVE WITH ALDUB:

1. The Chemistry.

The AlDub was discovered accidentally by the fans and Eat Bulaga stars when they showed Alden watching the Kalye Serye and Maine or Yaya Dub being shy about it. From there on they became a love team. It’s not just because Maine is so pretty (hello new girl crush!) and Alden is so handsome that they’d make a good pair, they indeed have genuine chemistry. I am not a huge fan of local stars and love teams but aside from JaDines, AlDub just caught my heart. Their chemistry is surreal and strong that every time I watch them I get kilig and all.

2. They’re funny.

Unlike other love teams, they’re not ashamed of showing their funny and kalog side in exchanging dubsmash videos.  They’re not the pretentious type and corny, they really are funny especially Maine who’s funnier when making funny faces, she truly has a gift in making people laugh.

3. #ALDUBforTNT

For years, I’ve been a TNT subscriber. And now it’s even more exciting that AlDub is TNT’s new endorser, TNT the country’s largest value brand under Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) bannering TNT Extend, its latest promo that allows subscribers nationwide to extend their existing favorite promo subscription for only Php 5 per day.
With TNT Extend, mobile users now have the most affordable way of stretching their bonding moments with their katropas and family, as well as prolonging their exchanges with their loved ones , or just simply talk with your friends about your kilig moments with ALDub be it through call, text or mobile internet – all without worrying about promo expiration. You can’t find promos like this with other networks,

it just proves that you get more when you choose TNT.

Simply text EXTENDto 4545 to enjoy the promo.

PhISO (Philippine International Studies Organization)

The Philippine International Studies Organization (PhISO) was created through the initiative of Nassef Manabilang Adiong. He saw that most countries abroad have professional IR organization, which represents mutual collaborations among IR scholars, professionals, and students. He aspired the same venture in forming PhISO because he saw the potential of a ‘Philippine IR’.
