Hello, it’s been a while…

“To truly respect someone even when they’re wrong is to have a heart that wants to help them see, since their “wrongness” is often just the blindness of being behind. This sort of heart is open to seeing the best in another, that there is good on both sides, and that there could also be wrong in the self. It is a harder way, but it treats a person with dignity knowing they are not the enemy; rather they need a light to see further ahead where you are.”

Hello there! It’s been quite a while since I posted something here. A lot has happened… I had A LOT on my shoulders that made blogging last on my list, I became uninspired and passion for blogging slipped away. Some time two months ago, I even made this blog private for some personal reasons that i’m too ashamed to say. Just remembering it makes me cringe a little bit. But i’m here, i’m back with a fresh start .. Hopefully i’m back for good.

Life Lately

Life has been crazy and a lot was going on, good and bad. And I want to share it here not for lots of people to see (as if my life or whatever is fascinating to know) but for my future self. For memories to keep.

  1. Work especially paper works ate 70% of my time. I’ve spent sleepless nights and shed a river of tears just to finish all the IEP’s, Programs, and Curriculum for my students. Being a SPED teacher is not easy as pie!
  2. For the first time in my life, I became an emcee.
  3. So I decided to apply as a public school teacher.
  4. Saying good bye to my students was the hardest part. I cried like a baby during the moving up.
  5. So much feels for 13 Reasons Why. Even better than the books.
  6. I love the fact that my sisters-in-law and I are pretty much close now.
  7. I was rank 6 in the RQA. After the results went out I was busy complying with all the requirements.
  8. I just finished watching Goblin. I am officially in love with K-dramas and Gong Yoo.
Days from now, I will embark a journey of uncertainty. For now, wish me luck!

Back for good

After the short break I just had, there were already a lot of changes, new learnings and experiences
I got from trying out new things and meeting new people. Alhamdulillah, looking back, I, myself can’t believe how much I discover for the past few months! There were really a LOOOT!
Freeing myself from too much social sites will always be a refreshing idea as my free time goes to meditation instead. Time to think more about life and what lies ahead, things like that.
Nothing compares to exploring places, too! No picture can perfectly describe, no music can make you cringe more and no story can make you feel better than experiencing it all by yourself.  But hopefully, I’ll be back soon to share glimpses of my journey, experiences and a lot more. And not to forget my OOTDs and new things coming up from our store! ❤️

BACK TO BASICS! (Black-White-Nude)

Recently, I’ve caught myself looking at my room for quite a time, having the need to know what has changed. Thinking…thinking… I knew it now. My closet is starting to go back to basics!
Of BLACK-GREY-WHITE-NUDES! Can someone convince me that it isn’t a sign of aging, please? Haha! I’m actually turning 26 next month and so excited to be in my late 20’s! Waaaah!
but as I come to think of it having basic staples in my wardrobe makes my life easier, sign of aging or not. For a busy person, these basics are so much of a time saver. So let me share with you one of my OOTDs for Autumn! Layering is love! I think this is my favourite season as it gives me the opportunity to wear more layers! I’m enjoying it, hope I can share more!

Current fave! Cat twilly! SO cute!

Jakarta. The biggest fashion festival in Indonesia, 2016 Jakarta Fashion Week (JFW), kicks off this Saturday at Senayan City shopping mall, South Jakarta, entering its eighth edition to more than 250 Indonesian and 15 international designers. Self-proclaimed as the most influential fashion week in Southeast Asia, the programs held during JFW include not only include a […]

Modesty in Islam is one of the principles of faith. It is freedom from vanity and showiness. It is decency and moderation in speech, manner, dress and total attitude and behavior towards life. It is shyness, simplicity and humility about our abilities and accomplishments. (

Ever since I transferred platforms and decided that it’s time to bring blogging into the next level, I made a promise to myself that I will post OOTDs or What I Wore as much as I can here in  my humble blog. And since majority of the people here in the Philippines are Catholic, Modest/Muslim Fashion is often neglected. To tell you honestly, I still get that stare at malls or public places, I don’t know if they’re in awe that a hijabi or a woman who is fully covered is a fashionista or that racist kind of look. But I’d like to think it’s the first one.

Recently, I collaborated with Kai with her project, the Hijabi Mag. This is all about spreading awareness on Modest Fashion here in the Philippines and to show that wearing hijab is NOT an oppression but a choice.  In short it’s “Hey, you can be all covered up and be fashionista at the same time”. 😀 I’m just so excited and I can’t wait for the launching! Maybe it’ll be launched before or during Ramadan. Inshallah.

I’m still new at this What I Wore posts and I apologise in advance, albeit I will do my best to make my every post catchy and genuine. For now, I am leaving you with a fun shoot I had with my dearest cousin and best friend plus a quote I love by Angelina Jolie.

“The sun doesn’t lose its beauty when covered by clouds.
The same way your beauty doesn’t fade when covered by Hijab.”
-Angelina Jolie
